Descriere
Infiintata in 1823 de James Findlater, pe locul unei distilerii ilicite mai vechi, Mortlach a fost prima distilerie legala din Dufftown. A fost singura distilerie din Dufftown pana la infiintarea Glenfiddich in 1887, fondatorul acesteia din urma, William Grant, lucrand la distileria Mortlach timp de 20 de ani inainte de a-si deschide el propria distilerie. Intre ani 1823 si 1853 distileria a trecut de la un propietar la altul, la un moment dat chiar devenind berarie. In 1923 John Walker &
Sons au cumparat distileria si o mare parte din whisky-ul sau a fost folosit in amestecurile Johnnie Walker.Mortlach Six Kingdoms 15 ani este ultima imbuteliere din colectia Game of Thrones Single Malts. Acesta este single malt-ul Sase Regate, insa cei care s-au uitat la show-ul de pe HBO vor stii ca defapt erau Sapte Regate insa spre final unul din ele, Nordul a devenit independent, ducand numarul la sase. Acest speyside single malt a fost maturat in butoaie de sherry de prim rang dupa care a fost finisat in butoaie de stejar american.Miros: Buchetul acestui single malt se caracterizeaza prin notele minerale si a pulberi de piatra in amestec cu note de citriceGust: Gustul este unul dulceag cu note de portocale, coaja de lamaie, cereale si stafideFinish: Finish-ul este unul mediu cu note subtile de sherry
