Descriere
Mortlach a fost prima distilerie legala din Dufftown si a fost infiintata de James Findlater in anul 1823. Intre ani 1823 si 1853 distileria a trecut de la un propietar la altul, la un moment dat chiar devenind berarie. In 1923 John Walker &
Sons au cumparat distileria si o mare parte din whisky-ul sau a fost folosit in amestecurile Johnnie Walker.Mortlach 14 yo a fost denumit “Alexander Way, în onoarea fostului proprietar al distileriei, Alexander Cowie, cel care a initiat distilarea bauturilor de 2.81 ori, proces cunoscut sub denumirea “The Way. Acest single malt este maturat timp de 14 ani in butoaie de burbon si sherry, ceea ce ii confera note cremoase, dulceata plina de condimente si un corp puternic cu alcool bine integrat.Miros: Acest single malt are un buchet aromatic dominat de fructe uscate, prune, cirese si vanilie, note usoare de piele si lemn de cedru, usor condimentatGust: Gustul acestui single malt este complex, uleios, condimentat (se simt arome de ghimbir, cuisoare, nucsoara, piper alb), cu arome de tutun si dulceata de cireseFinish: Finish-ul este unul mediu, usor picant, cu note dulci de cirese, miere, condimente si note lemnoase.
