Descriere
Distileria Aberlour a fost fondată in 1879 de către James Fleming. El a ales o locație care nu numai că asigură o aprovizionare sigură cu apă pură de izvor care curge peste granitul roz Ben Rinnes, ci și un loc înrădăcinat în timpuri străvechi și deosebit pentru relația sa magică cu apa. Scăldat în secole de legendă și înconjurat de peisajul dramatic, satul Aberlour se afla chiar în inima regiunii Speyside, unde afluentul Lour i se alatură râului Spey. În acest loc special resursele naturii și pasiunea fondatorului de a face cel mai bun single malț sunt combinate pentru a face whisky-uri generoase cu mai multe straturi de Aberlour.Aberlour 12 ani este exemplul fin al modului în care caracterul distinct și clar al citricelor noului distilat al lui Aberlour este înmuiat în mod clar prin maturarea dublă în butoaie. Maturarea dublă se face o parte in butoaie de stejar tradiționale și o parte în butoaie de sherry, iar efectul obtinut este unul deosebit întrucât băuturile mai moi din interiorul butoaielor sunt combinate pentru a oferi o aromă echilibrată și mai puternică.Miros: Buchetul acestui single malț este moale și rotunjit și prezintă note fructate de măr roșu.Gust: Gustul reflectă un caracter fin de sherry cu note de arome fructate toate fiind echilibrate cu ciocolată.Finiș: Finișul este unul cald și persistent cu note dulci și picante.
