Descriere
PJ Rigney a creat The Distillery Shed, cu vasele-i medievale de cupru si a inceput o cautare frenetica, pentru a imbina aromele orientale cu cele locale, din Irlanda. Distileria a fost fondata in 2014, in orasul rural Drumshanbo. Specializat initial pe productia de gin, Distileria a lansat primului Single Pot Irish Whiskey al marcii Drumshanbo si cel dintai whiskey provenit din provincia irlandeza Connaught, dupa mai bine de 100 de ani. Whisky-ul este triplu distilat. In compozitie gasim malt de orz, orz nemaltificat si ovaz irlandez Barra, maturat in butoaie de Kentuchy Bourbon si de Sherry Oloroso, detaliu ce confera bogatie aromatica si palat expresiv. Head Distiller, Brian Taft, considera Single Pot drept: Un whiskey echilibrat, ce danseaza cu usurinta intre dulce si picant, dand o senzatie bogata, usor persistenta pe palat. Acest Single Pot Still este exceptional de neted, cremos, condimentat si este o adevarata incantare pentru simturi.Aspect: chihlimbar auriu.Miros: debut de vanilie, malt, ierburi si miere, cu nuante de compot de fructe si mousse de ciocolataGust: initial de tort de Craciun, paine de secara cu unt, fulgi de chilli si ciocolata cu lapte, cu indicii luminoase de coaja de portocalaFinish: dulce-picant, cu stafide, alune si condimente.
