Distileria Glenlivet este cunoscuta in toata lumea pentru whisky-urile de calitate pe care le produce. Indepartata si izolata in anul 1822, Valea Livet din Scotia era perfecta pentru distilarea ilegala. Acesta este locul unde incepe povestea Glenlivet, cand fondatorul, George Smith, a aflat mestesugul distilarii. Ascuns de ofiterii vamali si de soldati printre dealuri si izovare abrupte, George a avut timp sa distileze incet si sa-si perfectioneze arta, facand un whisky care va deveni curand unul de renume mondial.The Glenlivet 12 ani este un sortiment care in decursul anilor a fost caracterizat intr-o multime de feluri, de la neted la fructat, la complex si sofisticat, distractiv si clasic. Acest sortiment standard al distileriei este maturat prima data in butoaie din lemn de stejar traditional urmand a fi finisat pentru a-si imprima caracterul cu note de vanilie si netezimea in butoaie din lemn de stejar american. Apa bogata in minerale aduce un plus aromelor, in timp ce alambicurile de cupru adauga un caracter delicat si complex acestui malt. Miros: Buchetul aromatic proaspat cu fructe completat cu note de vanilie si accente floraleGust: Gustul acestui sortiment este unul echilibrat si delicat cu note puternice de ananas accente de condimente si atingerea vanilieiFinish: Finish-ul este lung, cremos si catifelat
