Descriere
Povestea Glenlivet incepe oarecum in anul 1822, cand Valea Livet din Scotia, fiind indepartata si izolata era perfecta pentru distilarea ilegala. Acesta este locul unde fondatorul Glenlivet, George Smith a aflat mestesugul distilarii. Ascuns de ofiterii vamali si de soldati printre dealuri si izovare abrupte, George a avut timp sa distileze incet si sa-si perfectioneze arta, facand un whisky care va deveni curand unul de renume mondial.Glenlivet 15 ani capata caracterul sau bogat si exotic dintr-un proces de maturare selectiva in care o parte din whisky este maturat in butoaie de stejar francez. De fapt Glenlivet a fost printre primii distileri care au folosit stejarul francez pentru a matura whisky-ul, o tehnica care de atunci a fost preluata de mai multa lume. Stejarul francez folosit este taiat in regiunea Dordogne din Franta, unde este folosit pentru a matura coniacul. Densitate sa scazuta permite whisky-ului sa se afunde adanc in lemn si se controleaza cu atentie cat timp se matureaza whisky-ul in butoaie pentru a nu depasi rezultatul dorit, adica o condimentare unica si placuta.Miros: Buchetul aromatic este cremos, bogat si usor untosGust: Gustul se distinge prin notele fructate si notele de nuciFinish: Finish-ul este patrunzator cu note de migdale si condimente
