Talisker i-a nastere prin anul 1830, atunci cand fratii MacAskills construieste distileria Talisker la Carbost, pe malul Loch Harport, in ciuda opozitie localnicilor si clerului local. Prin 1898 Allan decide sa fuzioneze cu Thomas MacKenzie pentru a forma Diluaine-Talisker Distillery Co. Ltd cu toate ca pana atunci Talisker devenise deja unul dintre cele mai vandute single malt-uri din tara.Talisker Storm este acel whisky care poarta amprenta Scotiei insulare. Distileria Talisker din Skye, a reusit de-a lungul istoriei sa creeze unele dintre cele mai elegante si mai expresive single malturi, apreciate atat de cunoscatori cat si de amatorii de whisky. Notele ce caracterizeaza acest whisky sunt aprige, expresive, vibrante dar sunt totusi domolite de accente placute si prietenoase.
