Descriere
Rebeliunea din anul 1745 a impartit Scotia in doua in acea vreme, punand fata in fata clanuri versus clanuri. In jurul anului 1815, doi frati, Donald si Alexander Johnston, au inchiriat undeva in jur de 500 de hectare in Islay pentru a creste vite. Aceste teren este cunoscut acum sub numele de Laphroaig. Au urmat multe alte probleme dupa acest an, razboaie, foamete insa in anul de dezvoltare si revitalizare a distileriei a fost anul 1921 cand Ian Hunter, fiul lui William Hunter a preluat conducerea distileriei, facand ca pana in 1923, capacitata lui Laphroaig s-a dublat, si malturile, asa cum sunt si in zilele noastre, au fost finalizate.Laphroaig An Cuan Mor este un single malt ce poarta numele care tradus in limba romana inseamna ocean mare. Denumirea acestui whisky aduce cinste maiestriei Laphroaig, unde loturile cele mai bune si mai aromate sunt selectate pentru a oferi o experienta de neuitat, care se imbina in acest whisky, care este maturat in butoaie de bourbon din stejar alb american pe malul oceanului Atlantic. Dupa acest proces bautura este mutat in butoaie de stejar european unde se creeaza fuziunea unica de arome intre turba de la Laphroaig, caramelul de la butoaiele de bourbon si notele de caise si stafide.Miros: Buchetul acestui single malt se contureaza in note bogate de smochine invaluite in miresme de lavanda cu note de miere si piperGust: Gustul este usor piperat cu condimente de lemn dulce, coaja de portocala si note ierboaseFinish: Finish-ul este unul lung cu accente de nuci si turba
