Descriere
Distileria Caol Ila a fost fondata in anul 1846, iar aceasta s-a schimbat mult de-a lungul istoriei sale. Cand Barnard a vizitat distileria, ea fusese deja reconstruita complet si a fost extinsa continuu de atunci. In anul 1972 toate cladirile, cu exceptia depozitelor, au fost demolate si reconstruita distileria de astazi. Acum Caol Ila este cea mai mare distilerie in Islay, care produce dublu chiar si fata de Laphroaig, iar spiritul Caol Ila este o componenta cheie si se regaseste in multe blenduri de whisky.Caol Ila 25 ani un single malt lansat in 2010, dupa ce in 2004-2005 butoaiele sau intarit si refacut, acesta fiind primul Caol Ila de 25 ani care a fost imbuteliat oficial la 43% alcolemie. Acesta este un single malt perfect echilibrat neted si dulce si foarte serbet-lemony, avand doar un strop de fum ceea ce il face pur si simplu superb.Miros: Mirosul acestui single malt este o infuzie de vanilie si iarba proaspat cosita cu note de lichior si fumGust: Gustul fiind unul cu o textura bogata si cremoasa, cu note de caramel si piele ce vin in prim-plan spre finalFinish: Finish-ul este unul lung si subtil cu note dulci
